E-commerce and M-commerce

Image
I don't know about you, but I love shopping. Especially shopping from my computer or phone whenever and wherever I want, that is as long as I have an internet connection. Ever since I was old enough to shop online I have used Amazon and their e-commerce services religiously. Not only do I shop on their website using my computer, but I also shop from my phone all the time using Amazons m-commerce application for the iPhone. My usage of e-commerce and m-commerce has definitely spiked since the beginning of all these shutdowns, and will more than likely be the only way I continue to shop for specific items. Using these services make it so easy for me to compare prices from literally everywhere in the comfort of my home or in the passenger seat of an über. E-commerce and m-commerce are in my opinion two of the greatest things to ever come from technology.  https://pixabay.com/illustrations/shop-online-shopping-online-shop-1298480/

Methods of Communication

When I sit here and think about all the different ways we can communicate with one another using technology it's slightly overwhelming, but it's the world we live in and honestly I can't imagine it any other way. Fast forward to the end of the day and I used my cell phone several more times to FaceTime my girlfriend, send an email to my profess...

A Brief History of the Internet and Security Issues

Image
Imagine! It's 2006 and you're trying to connect to the internet. Instead of getting on your phone to search the web or opening your laptop with it automatically connecting to the wifi, you are connecting to the closest telephone port so that your dial-up connection can scream and yell at you for what seems like an eternity. Oh how those were the days! Little did we know how fast the internet was about to evolve! Fast forward 14 more years and the internet has become something we can't live without, but when the heck was the internet born? Well, if we could travel back in time we would see that in 1969 two men communicated for the first time ever using computers, giving us the birth of the internet. It wasn't known as the internet though, it was known as ARPANET. This quickly changed during the '70's with the creation of the TCP/ IP, but unfortunately with this new creation along with the world wide web security issues became more prevalent. Fast forward to the ...
